
LEAD BY EXAMPLE
L.E.A.D program is a nonprofit organization providing a mentoring program for high school youth in the Mercer County area. The L.E.A.D programs goal is to foster a commitment to young people that will promote pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills, and reassert a sense of hope in the future.
Through repeated failures in the classroom and the development of destructive habits, at-risk young people have lost faith in the possibilities that await them if they are successful in putting their lives together.
The goal of the program is to identify youths who are going to have a turbulent transition to adulthood and offer positive support system to avoid the pitfalls that can derail their lives.

Our Mission
The mission of L.E.A.D program is the pursuit of the following principles:

Leadership: L.E.A.D wants to surround students with mentors that they can look up to that can help develop pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills, and instill a sense of hope in the future.

Education: The focus of L.E.A.D program is to educate, empower, and expand the perspective of young people to make them aware of life's possibilities.

Assistance: An individual is dramatically influenced by their support system. L.E.A.D program wants to surround young people in a caring, inclusive learning environment.

What to expect

College Applications
Lead Program will assist students with college application.

Credit education
Lead Program will educate students on the importance of credit.

Job/Work Prep
Lead Program will assist students with job application. We will also educate students on the proper attire for job interviews.

Resume
Lead Program will assist students with resume building.

Trades
Lead Program will provide students with information on various trade/ skill opportunities.

Saving/Budgeting
Lead Program will educate students on the importance of saving/ budgeting.

Mental Health
Lead Program will educate and provide students with information on how to improve their mental health.

Lead Program will provide students with assistance with ACT/ SAT test preparations.
